For properties located in a floodway or Floodplain, a survey from a registered surveyor must be provided and mush show the contour line of the base flood elevation (100-year flood plain), proposed building footprint, finished floor elevation(FFE) of lowest inhabitable floor, elevation of bottom of floor joist for lowest FFE, and any other information the city may need to comply with adopted FEMA floodplain regulations.

By signing below, I agree to conform to all applicable city ordinances and zoning regulations. I also agree to obtain a building permit from Gaston County (if required), and to construct to the specifications of plans submitted and to building code standards regulating such work.
I also acknowledge that the City Belmont's Planning and Zoning Department will contact me after reviewing this application to provide an invoice of fees, and that my application will not be considered complete until payment is received in full. (Applicants may also call 704-901-2610 to discuss project with staff and request fees upfront if desired)
If this permit is for single family new construction, I understand that a pre-construction inspection will automatically be scheduled and take place as soon as possible unless otherwise coordinated in advance with the Planning and Zoning Department, and will be subject to reinspection fees if required.
